printer-driver-splix software package provides Driver for Samsung and Xerox SPL2 and SPLc laser printers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install printer-driver-splix
printer-driver-splix is installed in your system.
Make ensure the printer-driver-splix package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep printer-driver-splix *
You will get with printer-driver-splix package name, version, architecture and description in a table
